From Classroom to Field: NWAFU Master's Students Gain Hands-On Experience in Kazakhstan

Six master's students from China's Northwest A&F University (NWAFU) have successfully completed a semester of study at Kozybayev University under the academic mobility program.

During their stay at Kozybayev University, the students attended specialized courses, participated in lectures delivered by the academic staff of the Faculty of Agrotechnology, and carried out practical and research work in laboratories focused on crop product quality assessment and biotechnology. As part of their practical training, the master's students worked with sheaf and seed materials, mastering modern methods of agricultural product analysis and processing.

An important component of the program was field-based training and study visits to leading agricultural enterprises of the region, including Dikanshi LLP, PETRO-SEVER LLP, Elim-Kyzylzhar LLP, Mambetov and K Limited Partnership, Novomikhaylovskoye 2003 LLP, and Service Zhars LLP. The students also took part in fieldwork activities at the university’s Agrobiological Station, which enabled them to apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world conditions.

In addition, the students from China actively participated in the university’s social and cultural life. They made a strong impression during the “Student Spring” event for international students and visited the regional agricultural exhibition. In May, they also took part in a visit to S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University, organized as part of the events marking the 10th anniversary of cooperation with Northwest A&F University (NWAFU).

The academic mobility program contributed to the development of the students’ professional competencies, strengthened international cooperation between the universities, and promoted intercultural exchange.
