Learning outcomes 5B080100 Agronomy

The graduate of this modular educational program is awarded an academic degree "Bachelor of Agriculture"

Bachelors of agriculture have the following key competencies:

1) in the field of the native language

  • is able to express and understand concepts, thoughts, feelings, facts and opinions in the agro-industrial complex in written and oral forms (listening, speaking, reading and writing), and interact linguistically appropriately and creatively in the diversity of social and cultural contexts: during studying, at work, at home and at leisure.

2) in the field of foreign languages

  • owns the basic communication skills of Kazakh and Russian languages: is able to understand, express and interpret concepts, facts and opinions both in the field of the agro-industrial complex, both verbally and in writing (listening, speaking, reading, writing) in a corresponding series of social and cultural contexts. Has the skills of mediation and intercultural understanding.

3) fundamental mathematical, scientific and technical training

  • is able and ready to apply the educational potential, experience and personal qualities acquired during the study of mathematical, natural and technical disciplines in higher education, to determine the ways, to control and evaluate the solution of professional problems, the development of mathematical and natural-science thinking.

4) computer

  • is able to confidently and critically use modern information technologies for work, leisure and communications, owns the skills of using, restoring, evaluating, storing, producing, presenting and exchanging information through the computer, communicating and participating in collaborative networks through the Internet in the field of professional activities.

  • possesses basic knowledge in the field of profile disciplines (sciences) contributing to the formation of a highly educated person with a broad outlook and a culture of thinking; realizes the need for constant learning, can find available opportunities; is able to strive and persistently continue to learn.

Bachelors of Agriculture under the educational program 5В080100 Agronomy own the following special competencies.

 

  • be able to master the skills of regulating soil fertility, to recognize the main types of crops, their biological, varietal and economic characteristics, the requirements for environmental conditions, to implement fertility reproduction techniques, the laws of farming and crop production, to orientate in seed production and crop selection, research, to use the basic requirements of GOSTs to the quality of crop production:
  • be able to competently assess the prospects for the development of the economy in the market, make business plans for the farms, be competent in solving organizational and economic issues in making adjustments to agrotechnical techniques, taking into account the prevailing weather conditions of a particular year and in legal matters for resolving arising disputes in the team and Other economic entities.

Bachelors of Agriculture under the educational program 5В080101 Field crop own the following special competences

  • be able to collect and analyze materials for assessing economic activity, properly implement measures for the rational use of land, develop and apply in practice crop cultivation technologies, taking into account their biological characteristics and soil and climatic conditions, to compile technological maps for cultivating agricultural crops.
  • be able to calculate the need of the economy for seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, fuels and lubricants, agricultural machines, implements and equipment, labor resources, assess the quality of field work (soil cultivation, sowing, crop care, harvesting, primary processing of cereals, etc.).
