Family Day at the university

The university hosted an event for freshmen dedicated to the Family Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The students were introduced to the activities of the university's Psychological Service, where they can turn for help. They were informed about the possibilities of individual counseling, which is built on the principles of voluntariness, confidentiality, and anonymity. Contacts for inquiries were provided.

The audience was also told about the Student Psychological Club, which will resume its work from October. Here, in the process of communication, watching films, joint excursions, board games, and other events, competent specialists teach students to establish communication skills, interact in a team, and strengthen their psychological health.

Specialists from the Youth Health Center of the SKO spoke to the students. Its head, general practitioner Aiygul Kanasheva, spoke about the work directions of the medical institution and the services that young people aged 10 to 28 can receive on a free and anonymous basis. Pediatrician Gulnur Bekebaeva presented a modern view of the problems of youth reproductive health to the meeting participants and highlighted the main ways to preserve and maintain it. In total, more than 500 freshmen took part in the meeting.
