We have a hunger of the mind which asks for knowledge of all around us, and the more we gain, the more is our desire, the more we see, the more we are capable of seeing.
Welcome Day for freshmen
An important day for freshmen of dual-degree programs is Welcome Day, when they are accepted into the family of the University of Arizona and Kozybayev University. According to a good tradition, staff and professors from Arizona take part in the event.
The guys were welcomed by Ricky Salazar, Senior Director for Central and South Asia at Arizona International. He noted that our students have now become part of a large international community.
"I am very glad to be here and meet you, guys! Now you are Arizona Wild Cats. What does this mean? It means being active, free, and brave. Wild Cats are always curious in research, discoveries, and gaining new knowledge. This is a community that changes lives!"
Our students were also presented with certificates of admission to the dual-degree program and bright merchandise of the University of Arizona. For the first time this year, our fourth-year students went for a semester to the main campus in Tucson. From there, from another part of the world, they sent a video congratulation to their younger peers.
In total, 128 people entered the dual-degree programs in biotechnology, inclusive education, and IT this year. The growing popularity of the collaboration project with the University of Arizona among applicants is demonstrated by the fact that the geography of students is expanding every year. Today, students from all regions of Kazakhstan, the USA, China, and Russia study here.
