Visit of Professor Zhongliang Jiang

Today we welcomed Professor Zhongliang Jiang from the Northwest A&F University of the PRC to our university. He will stay at Kozybayev University for one week. He will meet with students of the Faculty of Agrotechnology and exchange students from China currently studying in Petropavlovsk, and will also conduct seminars for the faculty staff.

However, the main purpose of his visit is scientific partnership. Professor Zhongliang Jiang has joined the team of scientists working on the project "Development and implementation of high-tech solutions for monitoring, purification, and rational use of water resources in the North Kazakhstan region to ensure public health". This is a major mega-grant aimed at addressing highly relevant water supply issues today.

"We specifically invited you to work on the issues related to the implementation of our large-scale scientific project on water resources, in which you are also participating. We thank you for your continuous support of our university. This is very important and prestigious for us. Not long ago, a delegation from Kozybayev University, alongside the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the RK, visited Beijing. During the forum attended by the heads of state of Kazakhstan and the PRC, several important joint documents were signed. Our university concluded a memorandum with the Aiju company. Its goal is the establishment of a joint Kazakh-Chinese Center for Agricultural Competences," said Chairman of the Board – Rector Yerbol Issakayev.

This is not Professor Zhongliang Jiang's first visit to our university. In general, our university has been cooperating with the Northwest A&F University since 2017. During this time, we have managed to build not just a partnership, but a truly friendly relationship.

"We have been working with you for a long time, exchanging opinions and ideas. We proposed a list of necessary equipment for the water resources project. Of course, this is a very large project, and we understand that various questions and problems will arise. But we are sure that together we will be able to overcome them," assured Zhongliang Jiang.

The strategic partnership with one of China's leading agricultural universities contributes to increasing the competitiveness of our region, modernizing agricultural production, implementing international standards for personnel training, developing export potential, and attracting investments to the agro-industrial complex of North Kazakhstan.
