ADMISSIONS CAMPAIGN 2026 LAUNCHES
A briefing dedicated to the launch of the 2026 admissions campaign at Kozybayev University was held at the Regional Communications Service.
This year, applications from prospective students will be accepted starting June 20, both online through the personal account on the eGov portal and offline at 86B Pushkin Street. The university has organized a comfortable waiting and consultation area for applicants.
“Choosing a university is one of the most important decisions in a young person’s life. We are doing everything possible to ensure that Kozybayev University becomes a place of strength, development, and professional success for our future students. We have made the admissions process as convenient, transparent, and digitalized as possible. One of the key concerns for non-resident students is accommodation. We guarantee that dormitory places will be provided to all students in need throughout their studies. Applications for accommodation can also be submitted remotely online,” noted Aigul Nurpeisova, Member of the Executive Board for Academic Affairs of Kozybayev University.
Applicants wishing to enroll in creative programs in the fields of Physical Education and Sports, Initial Military Training, Music Education, Cultural and Leisure Activities, Design, and Journalism may submit their documents from June 20 to July 7. Creative entrance examinations will be held from July 7 to July 9 for grant applicants and from August 20 to August 22 for fee-paying applicants.
Throughout most of the admissions campaign—from June 20 to August 24—special examinations will be conducted for applicants to medical and pedagogical educational programs.
An important stage for applicants is the submission of documents for the state educational grant competition, which will take place from July 13 to July 20. For the 2026–2027 academic year, Kazakhstan has allocated 89,457 state educational grants, including more than 75,000 grants for bachelor's degree programs.
“Document acceptance will be carried out without weekends. The university’s technical secretaries will provide ongoing professional consultations regarding educational programs, eligibility for benefits, and available types of educational grants. Applicants can also choose four educational programs and four universities,” said Gulmira Ospanova, Head of the Admissions and Recruitment Office at Kozybayev University.
Kozybayev University, in partnership with the University of Arizona, is accepting applications for six dual-degree programs. This year, 200 grants have been allocated for programs in Information Systems, Business and Management, Inclusion in Education, and Biotechnology.
“Today, dual-degree programs provide Kazakhstani students with the opportunity to receive a world-class education without leaving the country and to become part of the international academic community from their very first year of study.
Admission to all dual-degree programs requires proof of English language proficiency. Accepted certificates include IELTS with a minimum score of 5.0, Duolingo with a minimum score of 60, TOEFL iBT with a minimum score of 42, TOEFL ITP with a minimum score of 460, or a minimum score of 70 on the Kozybayev University English Proficiency Test (KUEPT), which can be taken online free of charge through the university’s website. Applicants will be eligible to apply for participation in the state educational grant competition only after confirming their English language proficiency,” said the Executive Director of the International Campus of Kozybayev University.
Admission deadlines for postgraduate programs have also been approved:
• Doctoral Programs (PhD): Applications will be accepted from July 3 to August 3. Entrance examinations will be held from August 15 to August 21.
• Master’s Programs: Applications for the state grant competition will be accepted from August 12 to August 15.
