Kozybayev University and KazakhMedImport LLP Join Forces to Train Specialists and Enhance Graduate Employment

Training highly qualified technical specialists has become one of the key priorities in the development of Kazakhstan’s higher education system. As the country continues its industrial growth, universities are strengthening cooperation with industry to provide the economy with skilled professionals.

As part of this effort, a delegation from Kozybayev University, led by Chairman of the Executive Board – Rector Yerbol Issakayev, visited KazakhMedImport LLP, one of Kazakhstan’s leading manufacturers of medical, laboratory, and industrial equipment.

During the visit, the company’s Director, Sergey Ryabchinskiy, introduced the University representatives to the plant’s production facilities and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to expanding its partnership with the University.

KazakhMedImport LLP manufactures a wide range of products for the medical, educational, food, and industrial sectors. The company independently carries out the entire production cycle—from product design to the manufacture of finished goods—supplying its products both to the domestic market and internationally.

During the tour of the facility, the University delegation became acquainted with the production processes and highly appreciated the organization of manufacturing operations and quality control. It was a particular source of pride that the company employs both graduates and current students of Kozybayev University.

The company currently employs more than 90 people. With plans to expand production, KazakhMedImport LLP has an increasing demand for qualified specialists.

As Rector Yerbol Issakayev emphasized, the University is ready to provide forward-looking workforce training to support the sustainable development of the region.

Under the signed Memorandum of Cooperation, the University will prepare specialists for the company, offer students paid industrial internships with subsequent employment opportunities, expand dual education programs, and provide the company’s employees with access to bachelor's, master's, and industrial doctoral degree programs without requiring long-term absence from the workplace.

In addition, the parties plan to jointly implement research projects and commercialize innovative developments. Kozybayev University’s modern laboratory and research infrastructure will support applied research aimed at addressing the needs of the real sector of the economy.
