Japanese Scientist Shares Plant Genetic Resources Research Findings with Students
As part of a visit by a delegation from Japan to our university, Dr. Katsunori Tanaka, Associate Professor at Hirosaki University (Japan) and a specialist in biodiversity and the breeding of plants from the Cucurbitaceae family, delivered a guest lecture.
His lecture focused on research conducted under the PGRAsia project in the Republic of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the conservation and study of plant genetic resources. Students enrolled in the double-degree educational programs in Biotechnology and Information Systems in Management learned about current areas of scientific research and had the opportunity to communicate directly with an international scientist and discuss topical issues in scientific activity.
The event contributed to the development of international academic cooperation and expanded opportunities for students.
