M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University Takes Part in the Malaysia–Central Asia Higher Education Forum 2026

The international Malaysia–Central Asia Higher Education Forum 2026 (MAHEF2026) was held in Astana. The event was organized by Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), an agency under the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia.

The forum brought together representatives of educational and research organizations from Malaysia and Central Asian countries. The main objective of the event was to strengthen international cooperation in higher education and discuss prospects for implementing joint educational and research projects.

During the international forum, representatives of M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University and HELP University, one of Malaysia’s leading private universities, signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at developing long-term cooperation in higher education, research, and academic exchange.

The memorandum provides for cooperation in areas including short-term student mobility, joint research activities, the exchange of academic information and research publications, professional development for staff, as well as the exchange of faculty members and researchers.

Expanding opportunities for international academic mobility will be one of the key areas of cooperation. The partnership will provide students and faculty members with additional opportunities to participate in educational and research programs, academic exchanges, internships, conferences, and joint projects.

The cooperation will also create opportunities for joint research activities. Combining the research potential and expertise of the two universities will help expand collaboration in research, the exchange of scientific results, and the implementation of international projects.

In addition, the memorandum provides for the possibility of organizing joint conferences, seminars, symposia, and short-term academic programs in areas such as social sciences and humanities, communications, education, law, fine arts, pharmacy, and health sciences.

The University’s participation in MAHEF2026 and the signing of the memorandum provide a foundation for further development of educational and research cooperation, expansion of academic exchanges, and the creation of new international opportunities for the University’s students, faculty members, and researchers.
