Finding Your Path: Kozybayev University Book Club Discusses Professionalism and Calling

Another meeting of the OQYRMAN book club was held today at Kozybayev University.

The club brings together around 70 students, faculty members, and university staff. OQYRMAN is a space where reading brings people together, conversations inspire, and meetings with interesting people help participants find answers to their questions and look to the future with greater confidence.

This time, the guest speaker was Ildar Sisanbayev, a well-known blogger and event host in Petropavl.

The students listened to Ildar with great interest, asked questions, and learned about his professional journey. The speaker shared stories about his childhood in a creative family, the circumstances that shaped his development, and what motivates him to keep moving forward. He also shared personal experiences, professional insights, and the beliefs that serve as important guiding principles in his life.

“The main message of the meeting was simple yet very important: love what you do, be passionate about it, and don't be afraid to pursue your dreams! True professionalism begins not only with knowledge and skills but also with a genuine passion for what you do. Events like this remind us that behind every professional achievement lies a personal story, a unique journey, and faith in one's own abilities. Sometimes, one sincere conversation can be the beginning of great changes,” said Asiya Yermisheva, Director of the Kozybayev University Scientific Library.

The OQYRMAN book club continues its activities. In addition to meetings with well-known people from the region, the club hosts discussions of books its members have read. Club members also participate in the nationwide “Kitap Oqityn Ult” (“A Nation That Reads”) project, which features a six-month reading marathon held across Kazakhstan. Around 1,000 students from our university have registered for the project.
