Student research from the Faculty of Medicine is presented at the International Biomedical Forum

On October 22–23, 2026, the 2nd International Biomedical Forum, titled "International Biomedical Forum: Research and Innovation," took place in Karaganda at Karaganda Medical University. The event brought together researchers in the fields of biomedicine, bioengineering, and pharmaceutical product development.
As part of the scientific work plan for the student research societies (SRS) of the Faculty of Medicine at M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University, the forum was attended by Yerbolat Tulebayev - scientific supervisor of SRS, acting deputy director of the Faculty of Medicine for research and quality management, and associate professor in the Department of Fundamental Medicine. He participated in the forum from October 21 to 23, 2026.
On October 23, during the session on "Development and Implementation of New Pharmaceutical Products," Yerbolat Abibillayevich delivered an oral presentation titled "Drug Encapsulation Technology." His talk covered methods for producing alginate microcapsules, factors influencing the retention and release of active substances, approaches to quality control, and the potential for applying "green" technologies in pharmaceutical development.
Abstract prepared by students from the Departments of Clinical Disciplines and Fundamental Medicine - V.N. Shashkova, D.S. Tyulegenova, and A.A. Malvenova (master-student EP Medicine) in co-authorship with faculty members Ye.A. Tulebayev and B.K. Kurmangazhina, were published in the forum proceedings.
The research focuses on determining the technological conditions required to produce microcapsules with reproducible characteristics, ensuring the preservation of the activity of the encapsulated substances, and achieving a specific release profile. Participation in the forum provided an opportunity to present the results of joint research conducted by faculty members and students, discuss directions for future studies, and expand professional networks. All authors of the work received certificates of participation in the forum.
