The professional activities' sphere: remedial and educational process in special educational and pre-school educational institutions (for children with intellectual disabilities, hearing, vision, speech, locomotor, with mental retardation), etc.
The objects of professional actiities: government agencies; private educational, preschool special education and school organizations; rehabilitation centers; offices correction; PMPC; studies of early intervention; institutions of social orientation (the social services, support and assistance to the unemployed, low-income, disabled, able-bodied limited); related institutions with the problems of education and development of the younger generation in the social environment; health care instituions; scientific and research organizations.
Types of professional actiities:
- organizational and technological (the selection and implementation of teaching methods and education of children with various types of disabilities in development);
- industrial and management (Methodist pathologist, head of pre-school and school education organizations);
- designing (adaptation comprehensive educational programs to the type of special education organizations, the development and implementation of plans for educational and correctional and development assistance to children with various types of disabilities in development);
- research (research features of the process of teaching, education, development and adjustment of children with disabilities);
- pedagogical (depending on the chosen specialty: oligofrenopedagog, surdopedagogs, speech therapist, tiflopedagog, a special pre-school teacher);
- consultative-diagnostic (diagnosis of children with disabilities, consultative and methodical work with teachers and parents who have children with disabilities);
- advertising and promotion (support, development and promotion of socially significant ideas, traditions, organization of advertising mental retardation services; propaganda in the media ideas of social responsibility, community service).
Content of professional activity: diagnostic, preventive work; organizing educational and correctional process, consultative and methodical in institutions of education in accordance with the requirements of science and practice; work with parents who have children with developmental disabilities, seeks to share the experience with domestic and foreign co-workers, the goals and objectives of the State Programme for the Development of Education and the Law "On social and medical and educational support for children with disabilities." Correctional work in the educational institutions of different types, aimed at full socialization, integration and personal development of children with OM.
