Field of professional activity: the technology of production of livestock products, breeding work, broods, exhibitions and auctions of farm animals and birds, the organization of export and import of livestock products, primary processing in farms of different forms of ownership and the organization of sales of livestock products.
Objects of professional activity:
- state institutions of the Ministry of Agriculture, livestock farms of various forms of ownership, poultry farms, hippodromes, breeding farms and breeding plants, zoos, scientific laboratories, reserves, livestock breeding companies and vocational schools;
- all kinds of farm animals, commercial animals, birds, fish, bees.
Types of professional activity:
- organizational and technological: organization, planning of innovative technology, management in the system of production of high-quality ecologically clean products of livestock and poultry keeping with a reduction in their prime cost; the organization of stall and pasture maintenance of animals in accordance with zooghygienic requirements, the organization of a green conveyor; measures for the prevention and protection of domestic non-contagious animal diseases, fodder toxins, contagious and non-contagious diseases with modern technology for livestock and poultry farming; harvesting and evaluation of feed quality and standardized feeding of certain species and groups of animals and birds;
- production-management: zootechnical and pedigree registration of animals; breeding work, genetic analysis; marketing and marketing of livestock products;
- project: development and compilation of breeding and breeding plans, participation in the development of design estimates in the construction of livestock and poultry;
- research: creation, improvement of breeds of different kinds of agricultural animals; calculation of biometric indicators characterizing the variability of quantitative and qualitative economic-useful traits, heritability, the relationship between them, the origin of animals by types of proteins and blood groups; analysis of the composition of feeds, water, development of technology for harvesting, storage and use of different types of feed;
- educational (pedagogical): pedagogical activity in secondary professional and primary professional education organizations in the specialty profile.

- keeping zootechnical and pedigree records of animals and birds;
- organization of production and harvesting of fodder, the calculation of feed requirements and the chemical analysis of the composition and quality of feeds;
- primary processing of livestock products and raw materials;
- marketing of livestock products;
- development and compilation of selection and breeding plans;
- participation in the development of design estimates in the construction of livestock facilities;
- performance of functions to control the quality of products;
- conducting research and development;
- conducting classes in secondary vocational schools on the profile of the specialty.
