Learning outcomes 5B010500 Defectology

A graduate of this modular educational program has an academic degree of “bachelor of education”.

         Bachelors of education by “Defectology” specialty are masters of the following key qualities:

1)    In the field of mother language

  • is capable of expressing and understanding of notions, thoughts, feelings, facts and opinions in the area of social pedagogy in written and oral form (listening, speaking, reading, writing) and also to interact in a linguistically appropriate way and creatively in all the diversity of social and cultural contexts: during studies, at work, at home and at leisure.

2)    In the field of foreign languages

  • is a master of the main skills of communication of foreign language: is capable to understand, express and explain notions, facts and ideas not only of social pedagogic, but also in written and oral form (listening, speaking, reading, writing) in appropriate range of social and cultural contexts. He has some skills of mediation and intercultural understanding.

3)    Fundamental mathematical, natural science and technical preparation

  • is capable and ready to use educational potential, experience and personal characteristics acquired during learning of mathematical, natural science, technical subjects in high school, to identify the ways and check and estimate solving of professional tasks, development of mathematical and natural science intellection.

4)    Computer

  • is capable of sure and critical using of modern information technologies for work, leisure and communication, has skills of  using, recovery, evaluation, storage, production, presentation and exchange of information by dint of computer, communication and participation in cooperating nets through Internet in the sphere of professional activity.

5)    Educational

  • has basis skills of social pedagogic and self-knowledge conductive to formation of highly educated personality with spacious mind and culture of thinking; he realized a need of constant training, can find available opportunities; is capable to seek and insistently to continue studying.

6)    Social

  • knows social and ethical values based on public opinion, traditions, manners, social norms  and to focus on them in their professional activity;
  • knows culture of Kazakh nation and follow their traditions;
  • knows and follow the basis of legal system and legislation of  Kazakhstan;
  • knows a tendency society’s development;
  • can navigate in different social situation adequately;
  • can find compromises, correlate own opinion with society’s opinion;
  • a master of business ethic’s norms, ethical and legal rules of behavior;
  • seeks to professional and personal growth;
  • is capable to work in group, to defend his own point of view, to offer new decisions;
  • is capable to keep an active life position, can realize independent behavior in relation to other individuals, seeks to be a leader in a group or collective without causing of harm to his colleagues in the frame of normative regulations.

7)    Economic and managerial

  • knows and understands goals and methods of modern state economy’s regulation, the role of state sector in economy;
  • is a master of  the basics of economic skills, has scientific ideas of management, marketing, finance and others;
  • is s a master of skills which are necessary for critical thinking, observation, ability of interpretation, analysis, inference, ability to assess;
  • he’s a master of creativity: ability to cross form one aspect to another, ability to propose some ideas which are different from evident, well-known, common or banal, ability to see the gist of the problem, ability to resist to stereotypes.

        Bachelors of education by “Defectology” educational program are masters of the following special qualities:

  • knowing of principles, methods, ways, forms, content of corrective and developing training and possible ways of social adaptation, labor rehabilitation, integration of children with specific needs to society; regulatory basics of special education;
  • ability to use theoretical skills in solving of educational, corrective and developing tasks considering age-related, individual and typological characteristics, depths and structure of children’s defects, having of skills of development and realization of project of educational, corrective and developing processes in special educational institutions;
  • ability to design his further professional development; at setting and solving of problems connected with organization of educational. Corrective and developing processes in special educational institutions according to modern demands of science and practice.
