Learning outcomes 5В030100 Jurisprudence

The graduate of this modular educational program is awarded an academic degree "Bachelor of Law". It is developed on the basis of a professional standard.

Bachelors of Law hold the following key competencies:

1) in native language

  • is able to express and understand concepts, thoughts, feelings, facts and opinions in the field of jurisprudence in written and oral forms (listening, speaking, reading and writing), and interact linguistically appropriately and creatively in all the variety of social and cultural contexts: while studying, at work, at home and at leisure.

2) in foreign languages

  • owns the basic communication skills in English, German: is able to understand, express and interpret concepts, facts and opinions both in the field of jurisprudence in oral and written form (listening, speaking, reading, writing) in a corresponding series of social and cultural contexts, has the skills of mediation and intercultural understanding.

3) fundamental mathematical, scientific and technical training

  • is able and ready to apply the educational potential, experience and personal qualities acquired during the study of mathematical, natural and technical disciplines in higher education, to determine the ways, to control and evaluate the solution of professional problems, the development of mathematical and natural-science thinking.

4) computer

  • is able to confidently and critically use modern information technologies for work, leisure and communication, has the skills of using, restoring, evaluating, storing, producing, presenting and exchanging information through the computer, communicating and participating in collaborative networks using the Internet in the field of professional activities.

5) educational

  • possesses basic knowledge in the field of legal disciplines (sciences) that contribute to the formation of a highly educated person with a broad outlook and a culture of thinking; realizes the need for constant training, can find available opportunities; is able to strive and persistently continue to learn.

6) social

  • knows the socio-ethical values ​​based on public opinion, traditions, customs, social norms and focus on them in their professional activities;
  • knows the culture of the people of Kazakhstan and respects their traditions;
  • knows and respects the foundations of the legal system and legislation of Kazakhstan;
  • knows the trends of social development of society;
  • is able to adequately navigate in various social situations;
  • knows how to find compromises, to correlate his opinion with the opinion of the collective;
  • owns norms of business ethics, has ethical and legal norms of conduct;
  • strives for professional and personal growth;
  • is able to work in a team, correctly defend his point of view, offer new solutions;
  • is able to lead an active life position, can carry out independent behavior towards other individuals, strives to lead the group, the team, without causing harm to colleagues, within the framework of regulatory regulations.

7) economic and administrative

  • knows and understands the purposes and methods of state regulation of the economy, the role of the public sector in the economy;
  • owns the basics of economic knowledge, has scientific ideas about management, marketing, finance, etc.;
  • possesses the skills necessary for critical thinking, observation, the ability to interpret, analyze, deduce conclusions, the ability to make assessments;
  • has the quality of creativity: the ability to move from one aspect to another, the ability to put forward ideas that differ from the obvious, generally known, common, banal or firmly established, the ability to see the essence of the problem, the ability to resist stereotypes.

Bachelors of Law in educational program 5В030100 "Jurisprudence" have the following special competencies.

  • knows and understands: legal concepts; state-legal and constitutional development of Kazakhstan at historical stages; peculiarities of functioning of legal system and state mechanism of the Republic of Kazakhstan; constitutional structure of the Republic of Kazakhstan; the content of normative legal acts and theoretical approaches that determine a specific area of ​​its activities, understand their significance for the realization of the law in professional activity; forms and mechanisms for the protection of the rights of citizens and legal entities; essence, nature and interaction of legal and state phenomena; the interrelationship of legal disciplines in an integral system of knowledge and the importance for the realization of law in professional activity; essence, types and forms of the state; concept and essence of law; justice and its principles; psychological features and specificity of business communication, elements of professional ethics in the work of a lawyer; the structure of state power and management, the procedure for organizing legal protection of individuals and legal entities; basic rules for the preparation of legal documents; features of preventive work on offenses; methods of legal propaganda and legal education, the essence and social role of their profession;
  • knows how to: freely operate with legal concepts and categories; analyze the current situation and see the prospects for its further development; to foresee possible consequences on the available data; orient in the system, structure, competence of state, including law enforcement agencies; interpret the norms of various branches of law; use normative legal acts in professional activity; to understand the introduced legislative innovations; logically correctly express and substantiate their point of view; use computer and other innovative technologies; to carry out competent workflow management; draw up various legal documents; analyze and solve legal problems in the sphere of civil law, labor, administrative law, criminal law and other relations; analyze and prepare proposals for improving the legal activities of organizations (enterprises), provide legal assistance to individuals and legal entities;
  • has the skills of: collecting and analyzing legal and other information necessary for professional activities, including in the search engines and the Internet; development and drawing up of documents of a legal nature, preparation of justified information on the requests of legal entities and individuals; speeches in the judicial debate; application of alternative methods of dispute resolution and legal techniques; search for opportunities to improve regulatory documents and the mechanism for implementing legal solutions;
  • owns the capabilities: the use of professionally-oriented information technologies in the legal field, as well as databases and processes for processing legal information; independent work with information, preparation of conclusions and recommendations on organizational and legal issues, normative acts; drafting of the necessary procedural documents.
