A Landmark Achievement for the University: Dual Degree Programs Accredited for the First Time
Today, we are proud to announce a significant milestone in the history of our university: the dual degree educational programs “Information Systems” and “Biotechnology,” implemented in partnership with the University of Arizona, have successfully received international accreditation for the first time. The European accreditation agency ACQUIN has granted both programs unconditional accreditation for the maximum six-year period.
This achievement represents far more than formal recognition—it is a confirmation of quality. The decision was made following a comprehensive multi-stage evaluation process during which ACQUIN experts thoroughly assessed the curricula, faculty qualifications, infrastructure, and internal quality assurance system. Particular attention was paid to the level of integration with the international partner university and the practice-oriented nature of the programs.
The experts highlighted the university’s advanced laboratory facilities, access to the University of Arizona’s modern digital resources, and a mature, formally structured quality assurance policy aligned with the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) and fully integrated into the university’s governance system.
What does this mean in practice? Independent European experts have confirmed that the content and organization of the dual degree programs meet international standards of higher education quality.
This decision is especially valuable for the first graduates of these programs, providing them with a competitive advantage that will support their professional careers for years to come.
The accreditation serves as a strong endorsement of the quality of the joint programs with the University of Arizona and creates a solid foundation for the further development of international cooperation.
We congratulate the faculty members, staff, and students of the Information Systems and Biotechnology programs on this outstanding achievement!
