Welcome Day for Students
On September 1, a festive event for first-year students was held on the square in front of the main building of Kozybayev University. This year, around 3,000 young people are beginning their journey toward higher education at our university, including 1,040 recipients of state educational grants.
The students were congratulated on the beginning of the academic year by Mansur Alimkhanov, Member of the Management Board for Internationalization and International Programs, and Galym Akhmedyarov, Rector of the K. Baiseitova Kazakh National University of Arts.
This year, our university welcomed the first students of the representative office of the K. Baiseitova Kazakh National University of Arts: 97 students will pursue their studies at Kozybayev University.
During the celebration, first-year students had an opportunity to get acquainted, enjoy great music, and immerse themselves in a positive atmosphere.
Compared to last year, the student population of Kozybayev University has increased by 18% and now totals around 8,000 students. For the first time, students from Palestine, Pakistan, Rwanda, Iran, and Indonesia have joined the university community, expanding the geography of our student body to 21 countries. The university offers 160 educational programs, including 7 newly launched doctoral and 3 master's programs.
