M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University and KazakhMedImport: From Training Specialists to Joint Development
M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University and KazakhMedImport LLP have agreed to establish a systematic partnership covering the full cycle — from training engineers and providing practical education for students to joint development and commercialization of new solutions for the healthcare industry.
At the University, representatives of the company, led by CEO Sergey Ryabchinsky, toured the educational and laboratory facilities, the UniMed Clinic, and the University’s capabilities in engineering education and research.
A key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Roadmap for Cooperation. The document provides for dual education, industrial internships and practical training, professional development for company employees, the participation of KazakhMedImport specialists in the educational process, and the establishment of a department branch of the Department of Transport and Mechanical Engineering at the company’s facilities.
Another important area is joint research and innovation. The University and the company plan to establish a research and education center where new products will be developed and tested, design documentation will be prepared, joint projects will be implemented, and applications for research grants will be submitted.
An important objective is to bring research results into practical application. The parties intend to jointly work on the commercialization of developments, intellectual property protection, patenting, and bringing new products to market.
A demonstration site for KazakhMedImport medical equipment is also planned at the UniMed Clinic. This will bring together training, technology testing, and feedback from practicing healthcare professionals.
The partnership also covers talent development, including career guidance for school students, open lectures and master classes, professional competitions, career events, internships, and subsequent employment of graduates. Kozybayev University graduates are already working at the company.
The partners intend to combine the University’s expertise with the company’s production capabilities to develop new solutions for the healthcare industry.
