Republican competition commission for awarding educational grants under the chairmanship of the Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Yerlan Sagadiev summed up for the award of grants to study in the universities of Kazakhstan, according to reports of the Kazpravda.kz
In 2016, 59,677 people took part in the competition for educational grants, including 47 342 with Kazakh language learning, 12 335 - with Russian language learning.
This year the Ministry of Education has allocated 31 702 grants, including 2 950 seats - for training in the preparatory departments of universities, 28,752 grants - for admission to 1st year (full-time education - 28 452, by correspondence - 300 grants). The right to accommodation of educational grants received 87 high schools, which are defined on a competitive basis.
Taking into account these priorities, 12,593 grants allocated for technical and technological specialties, approximately, 5000 grants - on pedagogical, 2690 Grants - agricultural and veterinary specialties, 3000 grants - for medical and other professions.
