Learning outcomes 5В011400 History

The graduate of this modular educational program is awarded an academic degree "Bachelor of Education".

Bachelors of education have the following key competencies:

1) in native language 

  • is able to express and understand concepts, thoughts, feelings, facts and opinions in the field of history in written and oral forms (listening, speaking, reading and writing), and interact linguistically appropriately and creatively in all the diversity of social and cultural contexts: during studies , at work, at home and at leisure.

2) in foreign languages

  • owns the basic communication skills in English/German: is able to understand, express and interpret concepts, facts and opinions in the field of historical science both verbally and in writing (listening, speaking, reading, writing) in the appropriate series of social and cultural contexts; has the skills of mediation and intercultural understanding.

3) fundamental socio-humanitarian and natural science training

  • is able and ready to apply the educational potential, experience and personal qualities acquired during the study of historical, social, humanitarian and natural science disciplines in higher education, to determine ways, to monitor and evaluate the solution of professional tasks, to develop human values ​​and scientific thinking.

4) computer

  • is able to confidently and critically use modern information technologies for work, leisure and communication, has the skills of using, restoring, evaluating, storing, producing, presenting and exchanging information through the computer, communicating and participating in collaborative networks using the Internet in the field of professional activities.

5) educational

  • possesses basic knowledge in the field of natural science (social, humanitarian) disciplines that contribute to the formation of a highly educated person with a broad outlook and a culture of thinking;
  • knows the socio-ethical values ​​based on public opinion, traditions, customs, social norms and knows how to focus on them in their professional activities;

Bachelors of education in educational program 5В011400 "History" have the following special competencies:

  • possess knowledge in the field of world history and history of Kazakhstan, pedagogy and psychology, theory and methodology of planning and organization of research activities and educational process; are able to analyze and systematize historical phenomena; are able to conduct classes in schools, technical and vocational schools, and use the methods of social and humanitarian sciences in their professional activities.

Bachelors of education in educational program 5В011401 "World History" own the following special competencies:

  • have knowledge in the field of universal history, the history of Kazakhstan, archeology, source studies and historiography; knowledge in the field of methods of teaching history;
  • are able to demonstrate fundamental knowledge in the teaching of historical and public courses;
  • are able to use in-depth specialized professional theoretical and practical knowledge in developing elective courses;
  • are able to perform professional and pedagogical work on teaching history courses and (electives) of individual disciplines of historical knowledge in secondary educational institutions;
  • know how to implement the following main tasks in the process of teaching Russian history in a general educational institution: the education of patriotism, respect for the history and traditions of the country, human rights and freedoms, democratic principles of public life; mastering of knowledge about the most important events, processes and phenomena of Russian and world history in their interrelation and chronological order; mastering the elementary methods of historical knowledge, the skills of working with various sources of historical information; the formation of value orientations in the course of acquaintance with the historically formed cultural, religious, ethno-national traditions, etc.;
  • are prepared for a professional understanding of the social, cultural, economic and political conditions for the development of the modern world, the identification of stable trends in historical dynamics and the forecasting of the future.

Bachelors of education in educational program 5В011403 "History and Social Studies" have the following special competencies:

  • have knowledge in the field of modern social and humanitarian science, understand the role of public knowledge in modern conditions;
  • know the basic teachings in the field of humanities and socio-economic sciences; know the methodology of teaching social studies;
  • have knowledge in the field of universal history, the history of Kazakhstan, archeology, source studies and historiography; knowledge in the field of methods of teaching history;
  • are able to use in-depth specialized professional theoretical and practical knowledge in developing elective courses;they are able to perform professional and pedagogical work on teaching public and humanitarian courses, history courses and (electives) of certain disciplines of historical knowledge in the secondary school, lyceum and gymnasium, logically and consistently represent the acquired knowledge;
  • know how to implement the following main tasks in the process of teaching Russian history in a general educational institution: the education of patriotism, respect for the history and traditions of the country, human rights and freedoms, democratic principles of public life; mastering of knowledge about the most important events, processes and phenomena of Russian and world history in their interrelation and chronological order; mastering the elementary methods of historical knowledge, the skills of working with various sources of historical information; the formation of value orientations in the course of acquaintance with the historically formed cultural, religious, ethno-national traditions, etc.;
