Maslenitsa is a symbol of renewal

The end of winter and the feeling of the warmth of the spring sun makes it clear to everyone that the long-awaited holiday – «Maslenitsa»  will come very soon.  This year, within the walls of  Kozybayev  University, he united all students and teachers who amicably and joyfully saw off winter and met the beautiful spring.

A real feast reigned at the university. The decoration was a straw effigy of Maslenitsa, funny songs, folk dances, games and contests. The students prepared a bright program and showed the traditions and customs of the Slavic peoples. Not without the main delicacy – pancakes, as they say: «Maslenitsa will come, pancakes and honey will bring.» Representatives of other nations were also treated to national dishes, and everyone was invited to taste their dishes prepared with their own hands. This holiday, which was attended by children of different nationalities, has become another symbol of friendship of the peoples of Kazakhstan.
