Chess on ice

Ends, sliders and tee line- are all about chess on ice, namely curling. Young people are especially interested in this sport. There was held an open university championship in curling dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the university. It was held in order to popularize curling further and to promote a healthy lifestyle. Eight five-member teams took part in this competition.

Not only our students competed among themselves, but also schoolchildren, students of colleges of the city and the region. The competitions turned out to be interesting and not a little exciting. Participants fought for victory, demonstrating their skills, strength and dexterity. Each curler tried to bring the long-awaited points to the team.

According to the results of the competition, the 3rd place was given to the guys from G. Musrepov district, the students of the Faculty of Education became the silver medalists of the championship. The title of absolute champions was given to the team of the Children’s and Youth Sports School and FE. Congratulations to the winners and we wish you the achievement of new sporting heights!
