Nauryz - holiday of the birth of spring

Nauryz is a holiday of renewal and rebirth, peace and harmony, spring and abundance. All over the world, including at Kozybayev University, people are looking forward to its arrival. The university administration, teaching staff, personnel and students have gathered on the university square under a single shanyrak. The teachers of each faculty have prepared a festive dastarkhan, which was full of various dishes and drinks: nauryz kozhe, beshbarmak, kumys, baursak, pilaf, and chak-chak.

The students have demonstrated to the audience the customs and traditions of Nauryz, which have been passed down from generation to generation for thousands of years. At the same time, everyone was in a hurry to try themselves at the Kazakh national games: tug of war, kyz kuu, wrestling, etc. Funny and incendiary songs, beautiful dances, good wishes to each other and the harmony that reigned at the event raised the festive mood of all those present.

“Student self-government, theatrical community of the university have prepared an interesting concert program. The representatives of the Tajik diaspora of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan prepared a festive pilaf. Congratulations to everyone on this spring holiday of renewal. I wish you peace, kindness and prosperity,” shared the Board Chairman– Rector Yerlan Shulanov.
