Since January 24, 4th year students have been doing work experience at KSU “Regional special (correctional) boarding school for children with hearing impairments.
Industrial practice occupies an important place in the system of professional and pedagogical training of future specialists and is a special form of the relationship between the learning process and future practical activities. In the course of practice, students have the opportunity to apply, consolidate their theoretical knowledge and skills, acquire a systematic experience of teaching in an educational institution.
The main goal of the practice is to form the professional competence of a future specialist, the practical readiness of a teacher-defectologist to organize, implement and regulate the process of correction and development of a child with hearing impairment, to acquaint students with the organization and content of special school education and training of children with hearing impairment, with the peculiarities of providing children with correctional psychological and pedagogical assistance, preparing them for schooling and integrating into the society of hearing peers and adults and conducting experimental work on the topic of the thesis.
During the internship, students got acquainted with the calendar-thematic plan, characteristics for children.
Students participated in the development of lesson plans for the curriculum and conducted remedial classes as a teacher-deaf teacher. Work was carried out with students from grades 2 to 7 to check the intelligibility of speech, the children read the words and it was necessary to write down the words that were understandable to the students.
During the period of internship, students selected a methodology for conducting the ascertaining stage of the experiment, they also conducted and described the ascertaining and forming, control stages.
The students also held an event of career guidance content with students of the graduating class.
