Winners of the national RWS competition

The republican contest of students' research works is held annually by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. First there is an intra-university selection, then in the basic universities and the final stage - nationwide. This time four works of the students of the "Geography and Ecology" chair won prizes!

- In the direction of "Geography" (natural science):

Asel Sultanova became the third. She presented the project: "The use of modern GIS in predicting the growth of ravines threatening residential areas and road networks.

Dastan Erlanuly won the 2nd place. He investigated possibilities of using GIS-technologies for solution of the problem of the university improvement.

- In the direction of "Geography" (educational):

Elina Malikova defended her work on anthropogenic transformation of the relief of the North Kazakhstan region and took an honorary 3rd place.

The winner was Zarina Lukman! Her topic was "Opportunities of using QUIZZ platform at geography lessons. Winning 1 place in the Republican research competition gives the right to conduct it next year on the basis of our university!
