Discussed the upcoming referendum

The university held a meeting of deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlik Tayzhanov and Dmitriy Koloda with the management and teaching staff of the university to explain the constitutional reform.

The forthcoming referendum is an important element of the democratic transformation of the state. The Constitution will be updated by one third, with 56 amendments expected. The most important thing here is that the people of the country will be involved in the decision-making process.  "The moment has come when we can realize, as citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, our rights," said Yerlik Taizhanov.

The event was held in an open format. Those who wished asked their questions to the deputies and were able to get reasoned answers. "The amendments to the Constitution, initiated by the President, are designed to change the political system and lay the foundation for further transformations in the country. We have begun building the New Kazakhstan. This idea should unite all the Kazakhstani people in a single desire to move towards the renewal of the country," said Chairman of the Board-Rector Yerlan Shulanov.
