An essay competition on the topic "Kazakhstan of my dreams"

From 07.10. 2022 to 14.10.2022 in the NKU named after M. Kozybaev held an essay competition on the topic "Kazakhstan of my dreams" in Kazakh, Russian and English. The purpose of this event was to educate young people of patriotism, citizenship, devotion and love for their Fatherland. It is necessary to intensify creativity and national self-knowledge in the traditions of the trinity of languages.

About 30 essays were written in English by 1st and 2nd year students of the Department of German-Romance Philology and students of non-linguistic specialties. Students demonstrated quality English proficiency at their level, using active vocabulary on the topic and following a clear essay structure. Members of the commission noted the use of quotes from prominent personalities about the homeland, beautiful turns to express their thoughts, reasoning, which allowed students to determine their clear position, as true patriots of their homeland.

By unanimous decision of the commission, which included the head of the department, associate professor of the department "German-Roman philology" Kakimova M.E., lecturer Salenko L.L. and masters Starkova A.V., Pismenyuk A.B., Head of the Department "Foreign Languages" Ismagambetova L.Sh. and senior lecturers Bubnova N.V., Sautbaeva A.K. the following was decided:

-         1st place to award an essay by Ivko Nikita, a 2nd year student of group FL-22 (LLI);

-         2nd place - Anastasia Denisova, 2nd year students of group FL-22 (LLI);

-         3rd place - Belousova Polina, 1st year students, M-22 group (HELF);

-         commission recommends noting the essay by Erezhepova Altynay, a 1st year student, a KLL-22 group (LLI).

It should be noted that students of non-linguistic specialties, although they underwent essay assessment on equal terms, passed the test with dignity and justified their honorary places.

By the decision of the essay commission (in English), Ivko Nikita will adequately represent our university at the republican level.
