We are working on improving the quality and quantity of dual degree programs

A delegation from the University of Arizona visited the university. This time, the partners arrived to discuss joint educational programs in pedagogical areas. Special attention was paid to inclusive and STEAM training. Representatives of Arizona met with the leadership of Kozybayev University and the Department of Education of the North Kazakhstan Region, principals of schools and inclusion centers, as well as students.

"The purpose of our visit is to learn more about the context of the higher education system in Kazakhstan: how training is conducted, teachers are trained, etc., for further interaction with Kozybayev University. We visited several schools in the city and it was very interesting for us to see how teachers work and the educational process is conducted. In addition, an interesting moment for us was the meetings with students of Kazakh programs and dual degree programs. And, since this is the first year of training in joint programs, it was important for us to get feedback from the guys, as well as to find out what problems they faced in training. All this helps us to improve existing educational programs," said Robert Berry, Dean of the University of Arizona College of Education.

In the Palace of Schoolchildren, American colleagues met with high school students of Petropavlovsk. In total, more than 200 students gathered. The guys were interested in the directions of training at Kozybayev University.

David Strizhnev, a student of the 11th grade of secondary school No. 2 shared his impressions: "I have considered many universities where I can enroll. But it was Kozybayev University that interested me the most. Especially his double degree program, as I know English well. I want to try my hand and come here. I am attracted by the prospect of getting two diplomas at once: Kazakh and USA".

Representatives of the University of Arizona told about their university, where two-degree students will study during the semester. Recall that now 44 people are studying in double-degree OP in the field of IT and biotechnology, about 110 more children are studying in international OP. It is planned to expand the list of joint programs next year.
