Partnership with «Alageum Electric»

The university works closely with companies in the region. One of these partners is «Alageum Electric». This electrotechnical factory in Petropavlovsk was opened in 2021. Today, 16 graduate students of the FEDT have their practical training at this modern factory.

The company management approach pleases: the students are provided with free meals, have the opportunity of material incentives during the practice, after mastering the assigned work. A special red uniform has been specially made for them (all other employees have blue uniforms). This is done so that everyone at the factory knows that these are students and they need help and support. Each trainee is assigned a mentor who gives daily feedback. And most importantly: the students who prove themselves have a real chance of finding employment after graduation.

This week, Akmaral Turgaleyeva, a member of the Management Board, and Tatiana Ratushnaya, Dean of FEDT, visited the enterprise. The purpose of the visit was to monitor the students' internships and discuss the next steps of cooperation.

"The factory is ready to implement and develop dual education. Training rooms have been prepared for this purpose. There is also an opportunity to provide scholarships for training followed by work placements at the plant. In addition, there is a research and production department which can support the application for a PTF and act as an industrial base for the project. All we need from us is ideas. For me, Alageum Electric is a model employer-partner who clearly understands that the training of highly qualified specialists depends on the university-industry bond," says Akmaral Turgaleyeva.
