1 800 000 tenge for young scientists

Every year Kozybayev University holds a competition of the Chairman of the Board – Rector for young scientists of the university. It is attended by undergraduates, doctoral students and psychological and pedagogical support under the age of 40. The goal is to identify the most promising and interesting scientific projects that need financial encouragement. The members of the commission are representatives of the Department of Science and leading scientists of the university in the presented areas. The grant amount for 2023 is 300,000 tenge for each winner. In total, 12 applications were received from representatives of the FMNS, FEDT and FHEL.

According to the results of the competition, the winners were:

1. Diana Abdreisova, PhD student, gr. E-d-20-p. The topic of the project: "The state and prospects of development of the freelance sphere in the Republic of Kazakhstan".
2. Vera Voropaeva, Master's student, gr. CTOS-m-22. Project topic: "Development of a new method for detecting defects of plastic products by ultrasonic flaw detection".
3. Dmitry Mokshin, PhD student, gr. CTOS-d-20. Project topic: "Development of preparations based on biologically active compounds of balsamic poplar for use in medicine".
4. Andrey Poleshchuk, senior lecturer of the EaR Department. Project topic: "Application of digital radiography to assess the condition of pipe connections and communications".
5. Galina Savostina, Associate Professor of the EaR Department. Project topic: "Intelligent technologies and software and hardware solutions for automatic analysis and synthesis of human biomedical signals".
6. Ivan Fomin, FMNS, senior lecturer, Department of GE. Project topic: "KU Navigator".

Based on the results of their research, within the framework of the development of the prize grant, the winners must publish 1 scientific article in publications indexed by the Scopus database with a percentile of over 35, or 2 articles in domestic journals recommended by the CQAFSHE within a year.
