Mutual respect, creativeness, and peace: the university celebrated the Day of Gratitude

March 1 in Kazakhstan is the Day of Gratitude of all ethnic groups to each other and the indigenous people of the country who showed mercy and accepted representatives of different peoples like their own during the mass deportation to Kazakhstan in the 30–40s of the last century. The hard years did not break people but made them even stronger. Now Kazakhstan is rightfully proud of the peace and harmony reigning in the republic. Mostly due to the unique model of national unity created.

At Kozybayev University, this holiday is celebrated annually with the involvement of members of ethnic and cultural associations of the APK.

"This year we have changed the format of the event. The idea was to attract as many students as possible so that they could participate and be able to feel and emotionally comprehend the essence of this holiday. On this day, I would like to wish everyone to be more attentive to others, to remember the good that we do every day, and to realize that we managed to preserve peace, unity, and harmony only by showing mercy and a sense of gratitude to each other," said Lyudmila Grivennaya, head of the APK Department.

This year, a books' exhibition, master classes in pottery and felt making, and a performance of the instrumental ensemble "Sherter" are organized for the guests.

"Kandastar" from Mongolia, China, and Iran took part in the solemn event. Also, teachers and students who have studied abroad and returned to their homeland. For the younger generation, the example of people whose life path is aimed at serving the Motherland through everyday work, respect for the cultural heritage of the people, and devotion to their Homeland are important. Therefore, at the event, honorary diplomas and letters of thanks from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as a badge "For the Development of Science" were awarded to teachers and staff of the university.

The festive mood on the stage was created by artists of choreographic ensembles, talented musicians, actors, and vocalists of Petropavlovsk. In their rooms, they reflected on the cultural diversity of Kazakhstan, peace, prosperity, and love for the Motherland. Happy holiday!
