16.02.2023-17.02.2023 in the North Kazakhstan University named after M.Kozybayev in groups FS-22, B(o) -22, GiP-22, LRL-22, MI-22, ChB-22 round tables were held dedicated to the celebration of the Day of Gratitude in Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the event: to instill a sense of gratitude and respect for each other, the Kazakh people who showed mercy, who received immigrants as relatives; fostering a sense of patriotism, unity and friendship.
Students received an assignment: to find out the history of their family (special attention to those families who moved to Kazakhstan) from the older generation, to watch the feature film "Algeria," to find information about Karlag, one of the largest camps in Kazakhstan.
The day of gratitude is an opportunity to say words of gratitude to our native land, a people who warmly received a large number of representatives of different ethnic groups, whose move to Kazakhstan was sometimes associated with tragic historical events that changed the fate of millions of people.
Students prepared presentations on topics, found a lot of information about Karlag, shared their family stories of resettlement in Kazakhstan, exchanged views after watching the film "Algeria." Confirmation of terrible historical events is the story of one of the participants in the round table, whose great-grandfather was a prisoner of Karlag.
The general opinion of all participants of the event: the holiday, which we celebrate on March 1, contributes to the further preservation and enhancement of the main heritage of our country-unity of the people.
