The grant needs to be worked off

About 90% of last year's graduates, after graduating from Kozybayev University, found a job. Such a high percentage of employment is provided due to the close interaction of faculties with employers. This week, a meeting of graduate students took place with specialists of JSC "Financial Center", which provides monitoring and control over the compliance of young specialists with their obligations to work off grants.

At the event, issues related to the distribution, employment, and mandatory work-off of graduates studied based on a state educational order were explained.

"By June 1, graduates must submit certificates or petitions to the university commission. By September 1, all young professionals who have finished their studies this year should be employed. If, for a good reason, it was not possible to find a job by this time, after one or two months, we send a notice of mandatory work-off. If this process is delayed, legal proceedings are possible," said Aigul Nurbekova, an employee of the Monitoring Department of Financial Center JSC.

Categories of students subject to working off of the grant: those who studied under the rural quota, "the Serpin" program, and the state educational order (bachelor's degree, master's degree, residency, Ph.D.).

The term of working off for graduates of "the Serpin" program is two years, and for the rest - three. Since 2022, specialists can be employed not only in the North Kazakhstan Region but also in 11 regions of the republic. If you can't find a job, you need to contact the Employment Center. This will also be counted as working off, only without pension contributions.
