In 2020, our university joined the international project "Competence Development and Teacher Training in Leadership /DeSTT" as part of the program's implementation of the European Union Erasmus+. It is aimed at financing, promoting modernization, sustainable development of the education and vocational training system, and youth policy around the world. The consortium of the DeSTT project includes universities from Europe (Spain, Italy, Poland), Kazakhstan, and Mongolia.

DeSTT is designed to make the training and professional development of teachers in the field of leadership more effective, aimed at maximizing their interaction with the local community, and the introduction of innovative methods.

This week, Kozybayev University was visited by colleagues from the Spanish University of Santiago de Compostela, Professors Bran Baral-Buseta and Francisco Eduardo Haz-Gomez. They met with students of international programs of the pedagogical faculty. The guests spoke about the analysis of the environment for leadership training and the involvement of stakeholders. We also talked to the audience about social capital as a key component of the process of leadership development in society.
