About the competition for the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the second half of 2023 (based on the results of the summer examination session 2022-2023 academic year)

Dear students! 

The competition for awarding the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is held based on the results of the summer examination session of the 2022-2023 academic year in accordance with the Rules for Awarding scholarships established by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by Order No. 136 of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 7, 2011.

Candidates for the appointment of a Presidential scholarship are nominated by faculty councils, on the recommendation of deans or by self-nomination.

Requirements for applicants:

1. The scholarship is awarded to full-time students from the 3rd year and undergraduates from the second year of study who study only with "excellent" (A, A-), both on the basis of a state educational order and on a paid basis
2. When awarding a scholarship, the following achievements of the applicant, documented, are taken into account:

1) victories in national and international Olympiads, creative contests, sports competitions, festivals or the presence of author's discoveries, inventions;
2) publications in collections of scientific papers, in national and international scientific journals;
3) the results of research work, the successes of which are confirmed by diplomas, diplomas, certificates, certificates;
4) active participation in the social, cultural and sports life of the university.

The procedure for selecting applicants:

1. The applicant submits a package of documents according to the list to the Deputy dean for educational work. The Deputy for Educational Work checks the applicants' documents for compliance with the requirements and submits them to Bursar's Office for consideration by the Commission;
2. The Commission analyzes the submitted documents for further consideration at a meeting of the Academic Council of the University.
3. The selection is carried out in accordance with paragraphs 1 and 2 specified in the Requirements for applicants. Under equal conditions, the following have an advantage:

• orphans and children left without parental care;
• disabled since childhood, disabled children.

1. The Academic Council decides on awarding the Presidential Scholarship individually for each applicant.
2. The appointment of the scholarship is carried out by the order of the Chairman - Rector of M. Kozybayev NKU on the basis of the decision of the Academic Council.

Documents are accepted until August 01, 2023, 18.00 h.

List of documents for participation in the competition:

1. Application of the student addressed to the Chairman of the Board – Rector of M. Kozybayev NKU for participation in the competition for the award of the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Application template for PS);
2. A copy of the student's identity document;
3. Transcript for the entire period of study with all signatures and the seal of the university;
4. Photocopies of documents confirming the applicant's achievements (diplomas, certificates, letters of thanks, etc.).
