13 students of the Northwestern University of Agriculture and Forestry of China arrived to study at Kozybayev University from Yangling, Shenxi Province. And ahead is a trip of 11 North Kazakhstan students to China. Such an exchange of students became possible owing to the signed Agreement between the two universities.
"Now we have also talked about launching joint two-degree master's programs. It is supposed to study for 1 semester with us and 3 semesters in China on a parity basis. We covered the following areas: agronomy, food safety, agribusiness, agricultural management. In addition, offered the study of Kazakh, Russian and English for Chinese students. We are also continuing the exchange of teachers," said Acting Chairman of the Board - Rector Renata Apergenova.
Cooperation with the leading university of China began in 2018. Then an Agrotechnopark was opened on the basis of the alma mater agrobiostation, where joint research on variety testing of crops is still being conducted today. Partners donated high-precision laboratory equipment to Kozybayev University for conducting scientific research and students' classes.
"We already have a lot of collaborations in research. We started cooperation when we initiated the creation of the Silk Road Alliance of Agricultural Education and Scientific Innovations, which included M. Kozybayev NKU. We have chosen your university as a partner, as it is one of the best universities in Kazakhstan. At that time, we were already well aware of the activities of the Agrotechnology Faculty of Kozybayev University, which has very strong programs in agriculture," said Luo Jun, Vice President of the Northwestern University of Agriculture and Forestry of China.
