Kozybayev University was one of the first among the higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan to join the Alliance of Agricultural Education and Scientific and Technical Innovations of the Silk Road. The alma mater conducts training in 13 agricultural bachelor's and master's degree programs. We have been successfully collaborating with the Northwestern University of Agriculture and Forestry of China for more than 5 years. A joint Agrotechnopark has been opened, research on the variety testing of crops is being carried out, an agreement on the exchange of students has been signed, and teachers are being trained.
Last week, China hosted the annual conference of the Silk Road Agricultural Education Alliance and the Forum of Rectors of Agricultural Universities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries. The event was attended by Members of the Board of Kozybayev University, along with representatives of 50 universities and research centers of Kazakhstan, Belarus, Jordan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
"I was pleased to share with the conference participants the experience of our university in training staff for the agricultural sector and told how strategic partnership contributes to this direction. The organizer of the conference, Northwestern University of Agriculture and Forestry is one of the strategic partners of our university. I am glad to meet with partners of our university from the SCO member states and discuss promising opportunities for cooperation," said Acting Chairman of the Board - Rector Renata Apergenova.
The Forum of Innovations in the field of agricultural education, science and technology was also held within the framework of the conference. The participants visited the demonstration park of intelligent agriculture in Yangling.
