Kazakhstan's Indoor Summer Polyathlon Cup was held in Karaganda. More than 100 athletes from 12 to 77 years old from ten regions of Kazakhstan, Astana and Almaty took part in the competition. Polyathlon, or the Presidential summer all-around, includes a sprint race, air rifle shooting, swimming, and endurance running.
Kozybayev University students Nikita Izotov (gr. PCIMT-21) and Arsen Khamzin (gr. PCS-21-1) played for the national team of the North Kazakhstan region. Our athletes have won three gold and two silver medals!
Nikita Izotov set two personal records: in shooting and in swimming. He won the gold in the group of 18-20 years and won the absolute championship among all ages. Arsen Khamzin became the second in the age group of 18-20 years and the silver medalist in the absolute championship.
Their teammates were also graduates of our university Zholoman Aktari (gold and bronze medals), Artem Batrak (silver), Olga Werner (gold).
For many years, the national team has been successfully coached by the senior lecturer of the TMPME Department, Alexander Vladimirovich Naumov. Congratulations to our champions! We wish you success and new victories!
