Monitoring of student dormitories

Representatives of the youth wing Zhastar rukhy and the Bolashak branch of the AMANAT party, jointly with employees and student activists of Kozybayev University, conducted a raid on the university dormitories. During the monitoring, the inspectors got acquainted with the technical condition of the premises, accessibility of infrastructure, household comfort, compliance with sanitary and hygienic standards, and fire safety. We paid attention to the psychological climate. We made sure that there were no strangers living in, talked with the students. Rooms, kitchens, showers and bathrooms were inspected on each floor. All buildings are well heated. There are playgrounds for leisure. By virtue of the router installed, free Wi-Fi is available on each floor.

In total, the university has 4 own dormitories for 1,365 places. Additionally, a hostel is rented at 36 Teatralnaya Street.

"Today we have no students to whom we could not provide places. We even have some free ones now. Because many fourth-year students left for practice and rented out their rooms. Next year, we will be given two dormitories with 1,200 beds. And we hope that one hundred percent of students will be provided with residential quarters," said Akmaral Turgaleeva, Management Board member for educational, social issues and interaction with employers.

The current renovation of dormitories is carried out annually. This year it was held on the floors of the 10th building converted for residential premises, new furniture and household appliances were purchased. Furthermore, in dormitory No. 2, the window blocks were replaced with new double-glazed windows and the showers were repaired. According to the members of the commission, such raids are conducted several times a year in the university student dormitories and 24 colleges of the North Kazakhstan Region.
