The star of talent, youth and boundless love for music has once again risen in the realm of student life. For the fourteenth time, the Regional Vocal Performance Competition Tan Sholpan was held at Kozybayev University. Led by Galina Kolesnikova, professor of the Musical Disciplines Department, this initiative has evolved into a cherished tradition and has gone beyond the university event.
This time, schoolchildren and students of Petropavl, districts of the North Kazakhstan region Gabit Musrepov, Magzhan Zhumabayev, Mamlyutsky, Ualikhanov, Kyzylzhar, as well as Akmola region became its participants. Everyone could take part in the contest, regardless of age, either as a solo performer or as part of a group. Five contestants performed remotely.
Classical, folk songs and popular modern compositions were played from the stage. A competent jury, consisting of teachers from Kozybayev University and E. Serkebayev College of Arts, along with artists from the regional philharmonic selected the best vocal performers, those who demonstrated exceptional vocal abilities, a high level of stage culture and the ability to convey a lyrical message.
As a result, the main award of the competition - the Grand Prix - was won by Angelina Arakelova, M. Aitkhozhin Secondary School No. 1. Students of our university became prize-winners in the senior age category. Gauhar Sagynysh and Angela Shcherbinina took the second places, and Balausa Mursalieva and Aset Ibadulla took the third.
