Since 19.02.2024 - 23.02.2024 in the NKU named after M. Kozybaev, round tables were held in English, Kazakh and Russian, dedicated to the celebration of the Thaksgiving Day in Kazakhstan with students of non-linguistic specialties of the PF, FHEL, FMNS, ILL.
Every year, teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages hold events dedicated to this holiday. Thaksgiving Day has been celebrated in our country since 2016.
The purpose of the event: to instill a sense of gratitude and respect for each other, the Kazakh people who showed mercy, who received immigrants as relatives; fostering a sense of patriotism, unity and respect, friendliness to each other, as well as strengthening interethnic harmony and interethnic relations in Kazakhstan.
Students received an assignment: to find out the history of their family (special attention to those families who moved to Kazakhstan) from the older generation, to watch the feature film "Algeria," to find information about Karlag, one of the largest camps in Kazakhstan.
The day of gratitude is an opportunity to say words of gratitude to our native land, a people who warmly received a large number of representatives of different ethnic groups, whose move to Kazakhstan was sometimes associated with tragic historical events that changed the fate of millions of people.
Students prepared presentations on topics, found information about Karlag, shared their family stories of resettlement in Kazakhstan, exchanged views after watching the film "Algeria." Special thanks to the students of Dulatova Diana, Mustafina Dilyara (Yu-23), Bakancha Valeria, Solonenko Anna (HB-23). Students prepared wonderful performances with a show of presentations in Russian, English and Kazakh about the famous people of Karlag.
The general opinion of all participants of the event: the holiday, which we celebrate on March 1, contributes to the further preservation and enhancement of the main property of our country - the unity of the people.
