A solemn event dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day took place at the university's military department. Currently, 119 students are studying here. Training is underway for reserve sergeants with a year-long training in marksmanship, as well as officers in combat application of combined arms units, parts, and formations, planning and organizing territorial defense.
Over the more than quarter-century history of the military department, over 3000 reserve officers and sergeants have been trained. Our graduates serve successfully in various positions in the Armed Forces, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Border Troops, National Security Committee, and other formations of the republic. They proudly fulfill their duty to defend the Homeland! The current students are just beginning this glorious path. At the event, they demonstrated skills in handling weapons and combat techniques.
Renata Apergenova, Acting Chair of the Board - Rector, congratulated those present on May 7th and 9th: "Defending the Fatherland is a sacred duty and a responsible mission. True patriots, loyal to their military oath, have always been highly esteemed by the people. Our military department is staffed with strong officers who have solid experience in military service and educational work. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate everyone on the upcoming holidays!"
On this day, 29 students, staff, and faculty members of the university's military department were awarded with certificates of appreciation by the rector.
