10 years at the APK department

For 10 years, the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Department at Kozybayev University has been celebrated. Over these years, it has become a platform for cultural dialogue, fostering tolerant interethnic relations, understanding, and trust within the university and beyond. The department has been successful in addressing issues related to cultivating respectful attitudes towards the history and culture of ethnic groups in Kazakhstan among students, nurturing patriotism, tolerance, and conflict resolution, promoting multilingualism, adapting foreign students, preventing religious extremism, strengthening civil identity and patriotism among the youth.

During the roundtable at the university, partners of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Department gathered. These partners have been involved in joint activities, scientific and educational work for many years. These include the Kozybayev University Public Association, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Astana IT University, staff from the Center for Religious Studies (Astana), members of the Public Association "Association of Departments of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan "Shanyrak", representatives of the Assembly of the

People of Kazakhstan in North Kazakhstan region, "Qogamdyk Kelisim" Kazakh National University, the Methodological Center of North Kazakhstan region, the branch "Bolashak" of the AMANAT party, and the management and teachers of the Higher Construction and Economic College, as well as representatives from School-Complex of National Revival No. 17 in Petropavlovsk.

Ruslan Alishev, the head of the administration of North Kazakhstan region, presented a congratulatory address from Gaukhar Nurmuhametova, head of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Department at the university, to Lyudmila Grivennaya. She was also awarded the badge "Algys" by the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. Natalya Kalashnikova, chairperson of the Public Association "Shanyrak" of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Departments, presented her with this high award.

On this day, several colleagues who contributed to the activities of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Department at our university were recognized with letters of appreciation from the Association. Additionally, a ceremony was held to award honorary guests with the "Manash Kozybayev" medal, active members of the scientific and methodological association of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Department, teachers and staff with letters of appreciation from the Acting Chairman of the Board - Rector of Kozybayev University.

Anatoly Bashmakov, honorary chairman of the Association of Departments of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, who was instrumental in establishing these departments at universities in the country, spoke about the role of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Departments in promoting fundamental values and fostering patriotism among students.

"In our university, the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Department was one of the first to be established in the country. Initially, it was given a high status – it represents an independent structure that reports directly to the rector. The department at the university performs a threefold task: educational, scientific-methodological, and educational. But most importantly, it's about people without whom the effectiveness of the department would not have been possible. This includes voluntary work from teachers, students, and representatives from external organizations in our scientific-methodological association. I would like to specifically acknowledge L.A. Grivennaya's personal contribution to organizing the activities of our university's Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Department," said Renat Apergenov, Acting Chairman of the Board - Rector.

The anniversary events continued within dialogue platforms at the university, Higher Construction and Economic College, and "Qogamdyk Kelisim" Kazakh National University.
