A professor from China talked about livestock research

John Johnlian, a professor from the Northwest University of Agriculture and Forestry in China, conducted a seminar at Kozybayev University for faculty and students of the Agrotechnological Faculty. He introduced the audience to the activities of his alma mater and shared information about the research he is conducting with his colleagues.

The Northwest University of Agriculture and Forestry is located in Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. It is one of the leading universities in China in the field of agriculture. Our university has been collaborating with them since 2017 when we joined the Silk Road Agricultural Education and Scientific Innovation Alliance. In Petropavlovsk, jointly operated facilities include the Agro-Competence Center (in the educational laboratory building) and the Agrotechnopark (based on a suburban ABS).

John Johnlian is a professor at the College of Animal Science and Technology, where they train bachelor's, master's, and PhD students. During the seminar, he shared the results of his research in animal reproduction. In China, modern genetic methods are actively used in this field, studying cell properties in vitro and using tzp. Another area of his research is cryopreservation of animal semen. Livestock farming is one of the leading sectors of agriculture in our region. Therefore, the opportunity to gain information and experience from Chinese colleagues in this field is highly valuable for future agricultural specialists and researchers.
