Regarding the Competition for the Award of Vacant Educational Grants Released During Higher and Postgraduate Education

The competition for the award of vacant educational grants released during higher and postgraduate education is held based on the results of the 2023-2024 winter examination session in accordance with the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 443 dated August 25, 2023 "On approval of the Rules for awarding an educational grant for payment of higher education" and the Academic Policy of M. Kozybayev NKU.

Vacant educational grants released during higher or postgraduate education are awarded on a competitive basis to students on a paid basis in the context of groups of educational programs, forms and terms of study, taking into account the year of admission.

The award of vacant educational grants released during higher education is carried out during summer and winter vacations for available vacancies on a competitive basis.

The competition is held based on the results of interim certification based on the GPA (Grade Point Average) for the entire period of study with the issuance of a certificate of awarding an educational grant.

In case of identical GPA scores, students with only A, A- ("excellent") grades have the preferential right, in the next turn - grades from A, A- ("excellent") to B+, B, B-, C+ ("good"), then - mixed grades for the entire period of study.

Received applications are considered at a meeting of the Competition Commission, the Academic Council.

Based on the decision of the Academic Council, the university sends a list of applicants for transfer to vacant educational grants to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for decision-making.  

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan considers the received documents and, if a positive decision is made, issues an order to award a vacant educational grant of higher and (or) postgraduate education.  

Applications and relevant documents for participation in the competition are submitted to the BURSAR office: from 9:00 to 18:00, lunch from 13:00-14:00 (Building 2, room 227, tel. 49-32-52, 8-747-600-3613).

Document acceptance is carried out until July 30, 2024, 18:00.

An application is submitted no later than the hour and date specified in the competition announcement.

List of required documents:

1. Application of a student on a paid basis addressed to the Chairman of the Board - Rector of M. Kozybayev NKU for participation in the competition for the award of vacant educational grants.
2. Transcript of the student.
3. Copy of the student's identity document.
