The Republic of Kazakhstan Youth Kettlebell Lifting Championship, held in Astana, brought together 400 athletes from 14 regions of the country. Three students from Kozybayev University took part in the competition as members of the North Kazakhstan Region team. Valentina Besedina, a student in the MI-21 group (FMNS), became the champion in the 24 kg kettlebell snatch and met the International Master of Sports standard!
Second-year student Oksana Shmakova (group FKS 23-1) was just short of victory. In the end, our athlete took an honourable second place in the snatch in the weight category up to 68 kg. Roman Snytko (group FKS-22-3) met the standard for Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan in kettlebell lifting. The athletes are trained by Andrey Yaroslavovich Glyvyak, Honoured Coach of Kazakhstan and senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Culture and Sports. Congratulations!
