The Hurricane Startup Challenge2025 Startup Project Competition

The university has launched a regional competition of startup projects among pupils and students - "Hurricane Startup Challenge2025". It brought together young innovators from universities, schools and colleges of North Kazakhstan region, aged 16 to 22, who are not afraid to think outside the box, look for solutions and change the world for the better! The event is held to promote business thinking, develop relationships between business structures and the youth of the region, and improve the quality of training for future specialists. Our partners, Raduga KDR LLP, Avagro LLP, Forte Bank JSC, helped us in the organization. The total prize budget of the competition is about 1 million tenge. In total, about 40 Startup projects are participating in the qualifying round.

After the presentation round, mentors and mentors will work with the semifinalists in the Workshop format for a week. This is a unique opportunity for everyone to express themselves, reveal their abilities and take the first step towards future success in the field of innovation!

At the opening, the participants were greeted by the Chairman of the Board, Rector Yerbol Isakaev: – Today's event is an important platform for identifying and supporting young talents, enterprising schoolchildren and students who are ready to think outside the box and offer bold solutions to the challenges of our time.  It is very important for our university to be the organizer of this competition, because support for youth entrepreneurship, the development of innovative thinking and the formation of a startup culture are the most important areas in the strategy for the development of education and science in the region.

The work is evaluated by a competent jury, which includes experts from the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" of North Kazakhstan Region and employees of the Department of Science at Kozybayev University. According to the results of the qualifying round, only the best projects will advance to the semifinals and then to the finals. It will be held on April 20.
