International scientific and practical seminar «Sustainable development, research and training of professional personnel for aerospace industry in CIS countries» gathered in our university scientists and experts from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Russia. It has become a platform for constructive dialogue in the field of scientific astrophysical research, as well as issues of training specialists. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kozybayev University Galym Baytuk noted that today there are more than 20 organizations engaged in development in the aerospace field.
«Since 2006, Kazakh satellites of various purposes have been launched into space. Preparations are under way for the launch of new satellites, including with foreign partners, as well as joint research projects with relevant universities and science centres. Holding today’s seminar is important to further strengthen cooperation between our university and aerospace organizations. Our university has an observatory, a department of mathematics and physics, as well as the famous astronomer professor Andrei Solodnik. The research of our scientists occupy their positions in the field of space research», - reported Galym Baytuk..
Kozybayev University Center for Astrophysical Research under the leadership of Andrei Andreevich Soldovnik is known for his discoveries in the field of studying the physics of the upper atmosphere and near-space, the nature of long-period variable stars. In particular, for the first time in world practice, the existence of physical links between meteorological processes and the evolution of global fields of silver clouds has been proven. This fact, recognized by the world scientific community, allows us to consider the silver clouds as a major marker of climate, and then large-scale geophysical changes.
At the seminar, Professor Andrey Solodovnik, Associate Professor Pavel Leontiev, and researcher at CAI Nadezhda Solodovnik were awarded departmental awards and diplomas from the Aerospace Committee of the ICIAR RK. Further, experts in the field of the aerospace industry shared expert opinions on promising projects of the Ionosphere Institute and the use of satellite data for research. The scientists discussed trends in the development of silver cloud fields, seasonal and inter-seasonal changes in polar mesospheric clouds depending on meteorological conditions in the troposphere, and other topics. Also, within the framework of the seminar, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Kozybayev University and the Institute of Ionosphere LLP of the ICIAR of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
