Coursera is a global online platform founded by Stanford University professors. It brings together more than 77 million learners worldwide and offers access to courses from the world’s top universities, including Yale, Caltech, Berkeley, and many others. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan has granted students of Kazakhstani universities free access to this international platform. Over 300 Kozybayev University students have already completed courses on Coursera.
Now, our university’s faculty members are also joining the platform. The author’s course “Analysis, Modeling, and Forecasting,” developed by Professor Dinmukhammed Shaikin, PhD in Economics and Head of the Department of Economics, Accounting and Finance, is now available on Coursera. The course is designed to build skills in analyzing, modeling, and forecasting any economic indicator. It combines theory with practical application and helps learners understand the use of various economic models. It is suitable not only for university students, but also for industry practicioners.
We are proud to become part of this major global educational platform! We extend our sincere thanks to the team at BMG UpSkill, a Coursera partner, for their support and guidance throughout the course development process.
