Job Fair: A Gateway to Future Careers

Job fairs are a regular event at Kozybayev University, serving as an excellent platform for final-year students to explore employment opportunities. This week, events were organized for fourth-year students from the Faculty of Engineering and Digital Technology (FEDT) and the Agrotechnological Faculty (AF), drawing more than 300 students. Thanks to the university’s practice-oriented approach to education, some students secured future employment during their internships at local companies. For those still considering their options, the job fair offers valuable support. Graduates can connect with regional employers, learn about working conditions, salary expectations, job requirements, and potential career paths. The event also welcomed underclassmen, providing them with a chance to introduce themselves and explore potential internship opportunities.

“The employment rate of our graduates stands at 85.5%, which reflects their high demand in the labour market. Our academic programs are practice-oriented, and students gain hands-on experience not only in Kazakhstan but also abroad — in countries such as Poland and Germany. These are paid internships. This academic year, we also launched dual education, allowing students to combine on-the-job experience with their university studies. It’s a cluster that integrates both theory and practice,” said Aigul Nurpeissova, Member of the Board for Academic Affairs.

In total, around 30 employers from North Kazakhstan and Almaty participated in the job fair.
